SONOMA, Calif. — Brittany Drive held onto the highest spot in Prime Gasoline qualifying Saturday within the NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
Drive’s Friday evening run of three.694 seconds at 329.42 mph stood for her fourth No. 1 qualifier of the 12 months and twenty fourth general. She’s winless this season.
“We wish that win,” Drive stated. “In Ohio just a few weeks again, we had a runner-up end and it felt good to get there, however we wish to full the factor and find yourself within the winner’s circle. We had excellent runs from my whole crew this weekend. We had three stable runs and I am completely satisfied about that.”
Ron Capps topped the Humorous Automobile area, Greg Anderson was the quickest in Professional Inventory, and Angie Smith led the Professional Inventory Motorbike qualifiers.
Capps had a 3.897 at 328.78 on Friday in a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, and Anderson ran a 6.513 at 210.44 in a Chevrolet Camaro. Smith took her first profession No. 1 with a 6.736 at 203.06 on an EBR. Her husband, Matt Smith, set the nationwide pace document on Saturday with a move of 205.04.
