LAKE OZARK, Mo. — Former NASCAR driver and Fox Sports activities analyst Clint Bowyer struck and killed a pedestrian on a freeway exit ramp in southwest Missouri earlier this month, police stated.
The crash occurred June 5 on a ramp off of U.S. 54 close to Osage Seaside, Missouri, based on a crash report from Lake Ozark police.
Bowyer, a local of Emporia, Kansas, stopped instantly after the collision and known as 911, police stated. The girl, 47-year-old Mary Jane Simmons, of Camdenton, died on the scene.
The crash report says Bowyer confirmed no indicators of impairment and offered a roadside blood pattern that confirmed no hint of alcohol.
A crystalline substance was discovered with the lady’s belongings and residents at a leisure car park the place she was staying stated they believed she was below the affect of medicine, based on the police assertion.
Bowyer retired in 2020 after successful 10 Cup Sequence races over 15 years. He has been a success within the Fox Sports activities sales space since he jumped into that job as a second profession.
