MADRID — Spanish bike racer Carles Falcon has died from accidents he sustained in a crash on the Dakar Rally every week in the past, his group stated Monday.
The TwinTrail Racing Crew stated on Instagram the neurological injury brought on by the cardiac arrest Falcon sustained within the crash in Saudi Arabia was “irreversible.”
The 45-year-old Falcon was taken from the positioning of the Jan. 7 crash by helicopter. He was later transferred to a hospital in Spain and had remained in important situation.
Falcon was making his second look on the Dakar Rally.
