- Ford F-150 street truck concept set for 2024 SEMA show
- Concept previews upgrade package to be offered via Ford Custom Garage program
- Upgrade package will include 700-hp supercharger kit for F-150’s V-8
Before the arrival of the F-150 Raptor in 2010, Ford’s performance option for the F-150 was a street truck called the F-150 Lightning, which, unlike its electric contemporary, came with a V-8 under the hood.
With the F-150 growing in size and weight over the years, Ford decided to move away from the street truck concept, but performance technology has caught up, especially in the area of powertrains and brakes, and as a result Ford is ready to entice a new generation of street truck fans.

The automaker will do this with a street truck upgrade package for the F-150, which it will preview at the 2024 SEMA show on next week in Las Vegas with the Ford Performance Parts FP700S F-150 concept. The upgrade package will be made available via a new customization program dubbed Ford Custom Garage, which the automaker will also launch at next week’s SEMA show.

The exact features that will be included in the package will be announced closer to the market launch, but the Ford Performance Parts FP700S F-150 concept hints at what’s to come.

The concept is based on a F-150 XL Regular Cab with a 5.0-liter V-8 and rear-wheel drive. The engine is fitted with a Ford Performance FP700 supercharger upgrade that lifts output to 700 hp from the stock 400-hp rating. A cat-back exhaust system is also fitted.
Other upgrades include lowered suspension, front fender vents, unique badging and graphics. Hopefully an upgraded brake package will also be included in the final offering.

All of the packages to be offered via Ford Custom Garage will maintain Ford’s new vehicle warranty, and vehicles can still be serviced at any Ford dealership.
Ford will also use the SEMA show to present an F-150 designed for advanced off-roading. Called the Ford Performance ORV F-150, the concept is based on an F-150 XLT FX4 with a 5.0-liter V-8, and features upgrades like a Bilstein 2.0-inch suspension lift kit, underbody protection, auxiliary upfit switches, additional driving lights, and unique wheels and body graphics.
