2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye And Wet Weather? This Should Be Fun

The 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye proves that no matter how old a car may be, people will buy it if it has something unique to offer.

The seventh-generation Charger has been in production for 10 years and, much like the Challenger, continues to sell well. Earlier this year, it received a new range-topping variant using the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 as the Challenger Redeye pumping out an insane 797 hp and 707 lb-ft (958 Nm) of torque.

Dodge refers to the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye as the world’s most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan, and Redline Reviews recently had the opportunity to put it through its paces.

In ideal conditions, the Charger Hellcat Redeye will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in the mid-3-second range and do the quarter-mile in as little as 10.6 seconds at 129 mph (207 km/h). However, when this reviewer was testing the car, the roads were slightly damp, meaning it was hard to put all that power to the tarmac without spinning up the rear tires and kicking out the sedan’s tail. As such, the YouTuber says making all-wheel drive available would be a good idea for Dodge.

In addition to receiving a new engine, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is sold exclusively with the Widebody exterior and a set of 20×11 lightweight Carbon Black wheels shod in 305/35 tires at all four corners. Other nice features include adaptive suspension, Launch Assist and Launch Control, Torque Reserve, and Line Lock.
