WASHINGTON — Hyundai Motor Co. is recalling 129,000 U.S. autos for an engine problem that may enhance the danger of a fireplace, U.S. regulators stated Friday.
The recall covers some 2015-2016 Veloster, 2012 Santa Fe, 2011-2013 Sonata Hybrid, and 2016 Sonata Hybrid autos as a result of connecting rod bearings contained in the engine might put on prematurely, which over time can lead to engine harm. Sellers will conduct inspections and if bearing harm is discovered, the engine shall be changed, the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration stated.
