On this episode of HOT ROD Limitless, HOT ROD Editor In Chief David Freiburger explores the very first standing-mile race to be held on the runway on the Airpark in Wilmington, Ohio. This race was sanctioned by the East Coast Timing Affiliation, which for years had been operating on an outdated WWII runway on the airport in Maxton, North Carolina. When navy wants induced the ECTA to lose entry to Maxton on the finish of the 2011 season, town of Wilmington was glad to simply accept the racers. The very first meet was crammed to capability with 175 entries, and regardless of rain delays, 24 automobiles eclipsed 200 mph on the occasion.
