Chuck Cook dinner knew precisely what he wished for his ninetieth birthday. When he picked it up at Cecil Clark Chevrolet final week, the Florida dealership threw him a celebration.
Cook dinner purchased the shop’s first 2021 Corvette, a Torch Pink midengine C8. It is the Air Power veteran’s fourth Corvette over 40 years.
“That is my birthday current to myself,” Cook dinner told the Daily Commercial in Leesburg, Fla. “I’ve owned Corvettes since 1981, once I purchased my first one. This makes my fourth one in my lifetime. I am unable to wait till the pandemic is over so I can get this to all of the automotive reveals.”
Cook dinner’s first Corvette was one of many final ones made in St. Louis. He ultimately traded it in for a 2001 Corvette, then traded that for a 2014, which he traded in final week.
Cook dinner and his spouse, Barbara, have been joined on the dealership celebration by associates from the Contact of Glass Corvette Membership, of which he’s a founding member.
