GM, Cadillac to showcase EV energy throughout Tremendous Bowl LV

DETROIT — Basic Motors mentioned it plans to run two Tremendous Bowl advertisements this yr to highlight its electrification technique, driver-assist know-how and the Cadillac Lyriq.

GM will run a company advert as a part of its “Everyone In” campaign, centered on GM’s proprietary Ultium battery platform and its wager on electrical autos. GM plans to launch 30 EVs globally and make investments $27 billion in electrical and autonomous car growth by 2025.

Cadillac’s spot will promote the Lyriq electrical crossover, which is scheduled to launch in early 2022, and GM’s Tremendous Cruise driver-assist know-how.

The luxurious model’s advert comes after an eight-year hiatus from the Tremendous Bowl. Its final Tremendous Bowl advert, in 2012, positioned the ATS sedan in opposition to BMWs. The ATS was discontinued after the 2018 mannequin yr.

GM made a splash throughout final yr’s Tremendous Bowl, when the GMC model teased the Hummer electrical pickup with its “Quiet Revolution” advert.

The Hummer is scheduled to go on sale late this yr, and reservations crammed up inside 10 minutes after the pickup was revealed in October.
