Moto3 rider airlifted to hospital after quals crash

MUGELLO, Italy — Swiss rider Jason Dupasquier was airlifted to a hospital after a crash throughout Moto3 qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was concerned in a crash with riders Ayumu Sasaki and Jeremy Alcoba towards the tip of the session, which was instantly red-flagged.

Dupasquier appeared to fall and was then hit by his personal motorcycle and that of Sasaki, and a visibly shocked Alcoba later mentioned on tv that he thought he had additionally gone over the Swiss rider’s legs.

There was no official affirmation on Dupasquier’s situation. He was handled on the observe for roughly half-hour earlier than a helicopter landed and airlifted him to a hospital in Florence.
