BERLIN — Germany’s authorities won’t comply with European Union plans to successfully ban the sale of recent vehicles with combustion engines from 2035, Finance Minister Christian Lindner stated.
In its bid to chop planet-warming emissions by 55 % by 2030 from 1990 ranges, the European Fee has proposed a 100% discount in CO2 emissions from new vehicles by 2035. Meaning it will be not possible to promote combustion engine vehicles beginning then.
European Parliament lawmakers backed the proposals this month earlier than negotiations with EU international locations on the ultimate regulation happen.
