Former System One world champion Jenson Button stated that he suffered warmth exhaustion and almost retired from the race earlier than ending 18th at his NASCAR debut in Texas on Sunday.
The 43-year-old Briton, who received the F1 world championship in 2009, stated he feared fainting whereas driving his Ford Mustang through the 68-lap race on the Circuit of the Americas received by Tyler Reddick of XI23 Racing.
“Completed 18th after virtually stopping as a result of I had warmth exhaustion. It was so scorching. I haven’t got a fan in my seat, which actually did not assist me an excessive amount of,” Button stated.
“I ended twice for a minute. They put ice on me, gave me a great deal of water, and I went again out.
“I used to be so near getting out of the automobile as a result of I assumed I used to be going to faint. I will need to have drank eight-nine bottles of water through the race.
