BRUSSELS — Volvo Group has signed a 10-year deal to purchase half of the ability produced by Sweden’s new Bruzaholm wind farm beginning in 2025, the businesses stated.
Swedish state-owned power firm Vattenfall will begin building of the wind farm with a capability of 140 megawatts this summer time.
“The settlement indicators our dedication to prioritize low-carbon investments, supply renewable power and take local weather motion throughout the whole lot we do,” Volvo Group CEO Martin Lundstedt stated in an announcement on Tuesday.
Volvo Vehicles, a unit of the group, plans for 50 % of its truck gross sales to be electrical by 2030.
Vattenfall operates over 1,200 wind generators with a capability of over 4 gigawatts in 5 European international locations.
