The public sale of trophies that might have been awarded at this 12 months’s cancelled Emilia Romagna Grand Prix have raised £247,171 ($310,666) for flood reduction within the area.

The race at Imola was known as off final month after flooding within the Emilia Romagna area claimed 14 lives and displaced greater than 36,000 individuals from their houses.

The devastation within the space led F1 to cancel the race and donate €1 million to flood reduction efforts.

The 4 podium trophies — first place, second place, third place and successful constructor — in addition to the Pirelli pole place trophy and a bottle of Ferrari Trento for use on the rostrum have been then auctioned with all proceeds donated to the Emilia-Romagna Area’s Company for Territorial Security and Civil Safety.
