Alberta-based LAG Auto buys Kia of Prince Albert

Alberta-based LAG Auto has added a second retailer to its portfolio of new-vehicle dealerships in Saskatchewan.

The auto retail group with areas in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, introduced through social media June 3 that it had acquired Kia of Prince Albert.

Phrases of the deal, which was brokered by Vendor Options Mergers and Acquisitions, weren’t disclosed.

Kia of Prince Albert was beforehand owned by the Saskatoon-based FFUN Group, which has 12 new-vehicle areas, in addition to a spread of used-vehicle and powersports shops, primarily in Saskatchewan.

Following the acquisition of the dealership within the Prairie province’s third-largest market, LAG Auto now owns 14 new-car shops, in addition to three used-vehicle outlets.
