PLANO, Texas — David Wilson will retire as Toyota Racing Growth’s president and group vice chairman in December after main the U.S. motorsports arm for the previous 11 of 35 years with the Japanese automaker.

Common supervisor Tyler Gibbs, who has held a number of roles with the group since becoming a member of in 1996, will succeed Wilson as TRD’s president upon his departure Dec. 16.

Wilson was appointed to the place in January 2014 and has performed a major position in TRD race wins and championships throughout quite a few collection, together with entries into NASCAR, CART and IndyCar.
