The BMW Alpina XB7 based on the BMW X7 returns for 2025 in a new Manufaktur guise that adds a number of special touches for the exterior and cabin.
On the outside, the big SUV benefits from standard 23-inch wheels featuring Alpina’s signature multi-spoke design. The wheels come with a high-gloss, mirror-like surface which is then coated in a matte clear coat.
Buyers can also choose between chrome and black packs for the exterior. These alter the color of the grille, exhaust tips, badging, and window surrounds.
For the interior, the packs alter the color of the shifter paddles and steering wheel stitching. All XB7 Manufaktur editions also come with “XB7” embossing in the headrests, Manufaktur logos in the floor mats, and serialized plaques in the cabin and engine bay.
2025 BMW Alpina XB7 Manufaktur
The powertrain is BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8, tuned here to deliver 612 hp. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel-drive system, and will hustle the big SUV from 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds and onto a top speed of 180 mph.
Interested buyers will have to act fast as the XB7 Manufaktur, like all Alpinas at present, will be built in very limited numbers. The XB7 arrived for the 2021 model year and since then just 2,880 examples have been built for worldwide sale.
The U.S. is one of the biggest markets for the XB7 but availability of the new Manufaktur edition here hasn’t been announced. Deliveries in other markets are confirmed by Alpina to start in the first quarter of next year.
