A redesigned Nissan Armada arrives shortly, and a teaser photo released on Monday gives a sneak peek at the SUV’s grille.
The new Armada will be fully revealed on Sept. 3, Nissan has confirmed, and we’ll see it arrive in showrooms as a 2025 model in the U.S.
Like the current Armada, the new generation will be marketed as the Nissan Patrol outside the U.S. The Patrol is a nameplate that dates back to 1951 and signifies Nissan’s most rugged SUV, and that off-road cred should also benefit the new Armada.
Nissan hasn’t provided any details on the new Armada and Patrol twins, but the redesigned 2025 Infiniti QX80 provides clues as its platform will be shared with the Nissans. The QX80’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 should also be shared with the Nissans, replacing the current 5.6-liter V-8 used by the SUVs. The V-6 delivers 450 hp in the QX80, which is 50 hp more than what the current Armada’s V-8 musters.

The QX80’s interior dimensions also grew with the SUV’s redesign, and the same should be true for the Armada and Patrol. Expect a more upmarket design, too, with bigger screens and better quality materials. Nissan may have preempted the new positioning by increasing pricing of the 2024 Armada. At $57,345, including a $1,895 destination charge, its base price is almost $5,000 more than that of the 2023 model.
A redesigned Murano is also expected to arrive for the 2025 model year. Like the Armada, it should also move upmarket while swapping to a smaller engine.
