California’s Karma Automotive is gearing up to launch a range of high-performance electric vehicles in the form of the Gyesera sedan and Kaveya sports car, plus an SUV that was previewed in the summer by the Ivara concept car. However, the company plans to continue offering updated versions of its sole model currently on offer, the Revero series plug-in hybrid sedan.
The latest is the Revero Invictus, which was unveiled on Nov. 2 at the 2024 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. The car is a more performance-focused version of the Revero, benefitting from a series of weight-saving mods and track-tuned chassis.

Elements like the hood, roof, and trunk lid are all made from carbon fiber, and the designers applied a paint fade for the car’s Pacifico Gray exterior that reveals those parts in carbon. The front fenders are also made from carbon fiber, and feature vents that help reduce air pressure in the front wheel wells, resulting in extra downforce. Other carbon bits include the rocker panels and rear spoiler.

The suspension features new track-tuned Swift springs and Öhlins coilovers, and attached at each hub are 21-inch forged aluminum wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. The tires are 10 millimeters wider at the rear compared to the stock Revero, measuring 295/35. According to Karma, the changes increase grip levels and deliver more accurate steering. Acceleration has also improved, with the 0-60 mph time coming in at just under four seconds, or about half a second quicker than the stock Revero.

A few special touches have also been made to the interior, including the addition of aluminum door sill plates, a unique trim pattern for the seats, and several badges bearing the “Invictus script.”
No change was made to the powertrain. All Reveros feature a pair of electric motors at the rear axle delivering a combined 536 hp, and a BMW-sourced turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 that sits up front and serves purely as a generator for the 28-kwh battery. Karma estimates a range of 80 miles with the battery alone and 360 miles with the aid of the gas engine.

Karma Revero Invictus
Karma is the company born out of the remains of the original Fisker Automotive. Its first model was the 2017 Revero, which was a heavily updated version of the former Fisker Karma series plug-in hybrid. The Revero has since been updated two more times, with Karma referring to the latest version as a third-generation Revero.
Pricing and a date for the start of deliveries haven’t been announced, but Karma said it plans to limit Invictus production to 30 units worldwide. Production of the Revero and its variants is handled at Karma’s plant in Moreno Valley.
