DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Carson Hocevar was fined $50,000 and docked 25 driver factors for spinning out Harrison Burton below warning throughout Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Speedway.
NASCAR introduced the penalty on Tuesday in opposition to Hocevar, who drives the Spire Motorsports No. 77.
Hocevar hit Burton from behind, sending him sideways. Burton’s No. 21 automobile ended up in opposition to the wall.
Denny Hamlin, on his podcast Monday, known as on NASCAR to take motion in opposition to Hocevar, whom he characterised as a “repeat offender.”
“I’ll name on NASCAR right here, they should do one thing to Carson,” Hamlin stated. “They needn’t droop him or something like that, however they should dig into his pocket a bit bit as a result of I feel you must.”
