• Dodge reveals fourth special edition celebrating 20 years of Hemi’s availability in the Durango
• New special edition dons Brass Monkey-colored accents
• Dodge also plans “Last Call” special editions to mark the end of the V-8’s run in the Durango

The days of the Durango with a Hemi V-8 are coming to an end, and Dodge is celebrating two decades of the engine’s availability in the SUV nameplate with a series of special editions.

The latest was revealed on Thursday as the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey. It joins the previous Hammerhead and Silver Bullet specials also based on the Durango SRT Hellcat, as well as the 20th Anniversary special based on the Durango R/T.

All of the special editions are already available to order, with the Brass Monkey’s starting price set at $113,720, excluding destination. Production will be limited, but Dodge hasn’t said exactly how many examples of each model will be available.

The Brass Money in the name of the latest special edition comes from a bronze color (or brass) that Dodge offers as an option for its wheels and badging on various vehicles, including on the special edition which rides on 20-inch wheels and features a body color known as Red Oxide. Other special touches include a sepia finish for the leather trim, silver SRT Hellcat logos on the seats, a suede headliner, a leather and suede steering wheel, and forged carbon-fiber dash accents.

A long list of the Durango’s premium features are also included as standard. Some of the items include a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a wireless phone charger, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Brembo brakes are also included as part of the package.

Under the hood sits a stock Hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter V-8, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers 710 hp in the Durango SRT Hellcat, or enough for 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds, a quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.5 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph. The numbers are impressive for a midsize SUV with third-row seats.

The Durango is now the final Dodge to feature a V-8. As it did with its last V-8-powered Challenger and Charger muscle cars, Dodge also plans a series of “Last Call” special editions to mark the end of the V-8’s run in the Durango. The first of these was revealed in January as the 2024 Durango SRT 392 AlcHemi, and more are planned for 2025.

Dodge is then expected to introduce a replacement for the Durango in 2026, which is currently rumored to be a smaller crossover reviving the Stealth name.
